Situated between the Gavarres hills and the sea close to the beaches of St Antoni and Platja d'Aro. There are many sandy beaches and rocky bays for swimmers and all kinds of water sports in the vicinity. The countryside is ideal for walkers. This area is a golfers paradise, with championship courses and several 18 and 9 hole courses to test the best players. There are three water parks in the region, Aqua Diver (less than 5km away), Marineland (which has dolphins and other animals) and Waterworld. An hour to the north lies Figueres boasting amongst other things the surreal experience of the Theatre-museum Dali. Palamos 5km away is a lovely medieval town with beaches, fishing port, marina, bars, restaurants and shopping. Platya D'Aro is less than 10km and boasts lively night life with numerous clubs, bars restaurants and many shops and Barcelona is 100km to the south. The atmosphere is always friendly the food and drink plentiful, excellent quality and great value.
